Benedictine Military School’s Track and Field Team Won

Congratulations to Benedictine Military School’s track and field team, which won the Savannah Private School Track and Field Championships held at Savannah Country Day School with a total of 157 points scored (85 more points than the next opponent)! Christiaan Neely jumped to a first-place finish in the triple jump (40-04.50) and Josh Paige was immediately behind him in second place (38-1.50). Evan Scarbrough won the discus (130-05). Jakobe Gadsden won the long jump (21-01.50), while Neely finished third (19-07.50). Na’Seir Samuel sprinted to first place in the 200m (22.03 PR) and RaSean Matthews finished fourth (23.26). John Dodson was first in the 3200m (11:18.78). Samuel finished second in the 100m (10.69) and Thomas Blackshear finished fourth (11.07 PR). Dodson placed second in the 1600m (4:48.13) and Haddon Watson finished fourth (5:25.27) in his first meet of the season. Chapman Schivera, Amari Addison, and Austin Wiggins finished first(16.00), second (17.00), and fourth (19.71), respectively, in the 100mH. Schivera, Addison, and Wiggins also finished first (41.58), second (42.52 PR), and fourth (48.17) in the 300mH). Dodson and Michael Sweeney finished first (2:10.31) and fourth (2:20.53 PR), respectively, in the 800m. Cole Semien, Jeremiah Thomas, and Scarbrough finished second (39-10.75), third (38-05.00), and fourth (37-10.00) in the shotput. Blackshear tied for third (5-10) in the high jump. Kaden Johnson finished third in the 400m (54.49 PR) and Bo Tallevast finished fourth (54.57 PR). The 4x100m relay team of Matthews, Blackshear, Bryce Baker, and Samuel finished first (43.80). The 4x800m relay team of Dodson, Aidan Sasser, Sweeney, and Cooper Chu finished first (9:33.84). The 4x400m relay team of Tallevast, Johnson, Davis Whiddon, and Samuel finished first (3:47.82) overall. The 4x200m relay team of Houston Jackson, Keiran Glover, Matthews, and Paige finished second (1:34.19). We are extremely proud of the dominant performance displayed by this team!
