Southside Ace Hardware of Savannah to give away American flags

Southside Ace Hardware of Savannah will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Georgia lost 640 soldiers in the Korean war and 1,125 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 706 Mall Blvd, Savannah will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Patrick Anthony Russell Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Southside Ace Hardware of Savannah while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Southside Ace Hardware of Savannah is located at 706 Mall Blvd, Savannah, Georgia. This location is owned by David Bowles Sr., represented by Ian El Homsi and managed by David Bowles Jr.
