Oceanography Class Visited the University of Georgia Marine Science and Education Center

Benedictine Military School Cadets in Mrs. Robyn Iannone’s oceanography class visited the University of Georgia Marine Science and Education Center on Tuesday. Our Cadets conducted an invertebrate lab where they pulled organisms from the floating dock and examined them under microscopes. They identified the organisms with assistance from a chart and recorded the data for the center’s continued tracking of data. Our Cadets were extremely engaged, they learned a lot, and they demonstrated their knowledge as well. Additionally, they listened to a lecture about fish and toured the aquarium. The team at the center did a terrific job of explaining how the various wildlife are fed, how they come to live at the center, and how they are protected. Special thanks to Mrs. Iannone for the photos. #thebc400 #Character #Purpose
