Benedictine Military School’s Rifle Team Suffered a Tough Loss to Statesboro High School | Flickr

Benedictine Military School’s rifle team suffered a tough loss to Statesboro High School on Tuesday night, dropping its season record to 1-1. The final score was tied 1098-1098, but BC lost the tiebreaker on inner bullseyes 39-35. The match took place at Georgia Southern University’s shooting complex and, despite being down one of our best shooters due to illness, the Cadets battled valiantly with three of our four qualifying shooters scoring their personal best. Sophomore Connor Quintard led the Cadets with a score of 277 (PR), while the other qualifying shooters for BC were Law Babbitt (276, PR), Connor Winburn (273, PR tie), and James Thompson (272). The Cadets will look to get back to a winning record on Wednesday when they take on Beach at 4 p.m. at BC. Special thanks to LTC Stephen Suhr and Ms. Kate Swann for the photos. #thebc400
