9% of Bulloch County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Bulloch County recorded an unemployment rate of 9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,489 people out of the 79,635 living in Bulloch County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Bulloch County has remained fairly stable compared to the 9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Bulloch County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 35,070 people who had a job during that time, 63 were employed in the Armed Forces and 35,007 belonged to the civilian labor force.
