Savannah plans open house for Southside traffic improvements

The City of Savannah's Transportation Services department has announced an open house meeting to discuss planned traffic improvements for the intersection of Windsor Road and Largo Drive. The meeting is scheduled for May 22 at 5:30 p.m.

The project aims to enhance safety and improve traffic movements at the existing intersection for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. A concept for a single-lane roundabout has been developed as part of the plan. Additionally, the existing on-street bike lanes and sidewalks along Windsor Road and Largo Drive will be reconstructed within the project limits.

During the open house, there will be a short presentation on the project at 5:45 p.m., but residents are welcome to drop in anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to ask questions and provide input.

Residents have until June 12 to submit written statements about this project to Transportation Services via email, regular mail, or in-person at the open house. All regular mail statements should be addressed to:
