New educators, including teachers, counselors, and paraprofessionals, participated in a System Orientation for Incoming Educators (SOFIE) at Jenkins High School on July 20. The event hosted 368 attendees who started their day with breakfast alongside colleagues and explored exhibits from community partners and programs.

Dr. Denise Watts, the new superintendent, welcomed the group by sharing her own recent experience of joining the district. "I'm a lot like you," Dr. Watts remarked. "This is just my 11th day on the job!"
