The Annual SCCPSS Superintendent's Cup Competition took place on Saturday, April 15, 2023. This event is a contest among all JROTC units in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS). The participating schools included Beach High School, Groves High School, Savannah High School, Windsor Forest High School, Jenkins High School, Johnson High School, and New Hampstead High School. Each school represents a branch of the military through their respective JROTC programs: Army for Beach, Groves, Savannah, and Windsor Forest; Navy for Jenkins and Johnson; Air Force for New Hampstead.

The competition involved several events such as Squad Drill, Color Guard performance, Cadet Physical Fitness Challenge, Academic Testing, Marksmanship competition, and a Basketball Tournament. Units earned scores based on their placement in each event with lower scores indicating better performance. After all six events concluded, the lowest score was dropped from each unit's tally to calculate an overall score.

This year ended with a tie between Beach High School and Jenkins High School at 10 points each. A tiebreaker was necessary to declare a winner. The deciding factor was the best Color Guard performance which awarded victory to Jenkins High School as their team had secured first place in this category.

The individual winners across various categories were also announced:

- Rifle Team – Beach High

- Top Shot Female - Shania Evans from Beach High School

- Top Shot Male - Kylan Daniels from Windsor Forest High School

- Academic Bowl – New Hampstead High

- Squad Drill – Jenkins High

- Color Guard – Jenkins High

- Cadet Challenge – Jenkins High

- Basketball – Beach High

Jenkins High emerged as the overall winner of the 2022-2023 Superintendent's Cup following this rigorous contest.
