The Woodville Tompkins Boys 4X400 relay team was recognized for their achievement in winning the Class 2A State Championship with a time of 3:23:23 at the state meet held in May 2022. Due to the end of the school year, a celebration of this accomplishment had not been possible until recently.
On March 27, 2023, an event took place at the new Woodville Tompkins Auditorium. The athletes were joined by family members and coaches as they received their state championship rings. The team comprised Jalil Coast, Jordan Haskell, Alex Loyd, and anchor Nate Anderson.
