Visit Savannah is set to embark on its Surprisingly Savannah Mobile Tour once again this spring, beginning April 5 in Miami. The tour, an award-winning marketing campaign, aims to highlight the charm of Savannah to potential visitors across the nation.
The mobile tour will visit several cities during spring and fall, offering an interactive experience designed to encourage tourism to Savannah. Spring stops include Miami, Clearwater, Tampa, and New York City—cities with nonstop flights to Savannah.
Joseph Marinelli, president and CEO of Visit Savannah, expressed enthusiasm about the tour's return following last year's success. "Following the success of the 2024 tour, we were eager to get back out this year visiting potential new customers," he said. Last year’s campaign reached over 122 million impressions.
Angela Westerfield, Chief Marketing Officer for Visit Savannah, highlighted social media's role in extending the tour's reach. “Social media performance extended the tour’s influence last year,” she noted. The campaign included around 189 content creator posts reaching over 10 million people.
The tour will feature honey tastings from Savannah Bee Company and treats from River Street Sweets. Attendees can also enjoy music by Laiken Love and learn about career opportunities through RISE (Regional Industry Support Enterprise).
Visit Savannah anticipates a successful run in 2025 by leveraging immersive marketing strategies. Spring dates are scheduled as follows:
- Miami: April 5-6 at Miami Beach Pride
- New York: April 11-12 at Union Square
- Clearwater: April 19-20 at Sugar Sand Festival
- Tampa: May 2-4 at Country Thunder Festival
Fall dates will be announced soon.
The Surprisingly Savannah Mobile Tour is free and open to all ages. Updates are available via Visit Savannah’s social media channels.
