The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force is set to host an event featuring author Peggy Scholberg. She will discuss her new book, "Girls in a World at War," as part of the museum's Author Talk series. The event will take place on Friday, March 21st, at 11:00 a.m.

"Girls in a World at War" provides an account of five young women who served in the 223rd General Hospital during World War II. These women were stationed in France and worked from a converted horse barn near the 82nd Airborne quarters, close to where the Battle of the Bulge occurred. Among their patients were survivors from the Dachau concentration camp.

The program is free for attendees, although registration is requested through the museum's website.
