Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Savannah Technical College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Savannah Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia residents paid $2,744 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 77.8 percent more than residents this year, or $4,880. Their price tag was unchanged from $4,880 in 2017-18.

About 98 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Georgia residents. And about 2 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 87 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 267 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.5 million and 8 students took out student loans totaling more than $29,596.

Including all undergraduates (3,817), 3,015 students used grants or scholarships totaling $13.9 million.
