WHO: Anybody interested in getting information more easily from the City’s web site

Sorry, the first scheduled attempt at this meeting has been postponed until August 25th.

Are you frustrated at the lack of information from the City? Do you wish you could find out what is going on more easily? cityoftybee.org actually contains almost all the information you could possibly want in a municipal web site. Despite several attempts to solicit feedback to help make things easier to find, however, very few people have participated. This Zoom meeting is the first attempt both to get the public better informed as to how to use the city’s web site, and to use problems that people report during the class to try to make it easier for everyone to navigate in the future!

We will cover basic information about navigating the web site, but we will also take questions from all attendees and cover how to find those answers. If we run out of time, remaining questions will be answered in future classes!

This first class will be a Zoom meeting. In order to make sure the room is large enough for everyone, please register for the class by sending your name and phone number to computerbeachtybee@gmail.com. When you register, you will get a link to the Zoom meeting via email within 24 hours. If you are not registered, you will not be able to get into the meeting! If you have friends who might want to look over your shoulder because they are unfamiliar with using Zoom, feel free to invite them over to participate with you.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday evening, August 25th, 2021, from 7:30 – 8:30 PM. We’ll be able to run later if there are a lot of questions that need to be addressed, or we may need to address outstanding questions in future sessions.

If you would prefer to have an in-person session, we will be able to set up a meeting at the TIPD Public Safety Building in the Courtroom. Please let me know of your interest as well with an email to that same address. Include the best day and time for you, and we’ll pick a day that fits the needs of the most people. With the increasing number of local COVID delta variant cases, we may have to wait a bit before we can schedule a physical class. (We can make the physical class also available via Zoom, so there are plenty of opportunities to participate!)

Feel free to join with video so we can see your lovely visage, or with audio only, but you know PJs are considered formal Tybee attire, so don't worry, either way!

This is a free, public seminar. You must pre-register via email to computerbeachtybee@gmail.com
