ATHENS, Ga. – The Vanderbilt baseball team blanked No. 22 Georgia, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at Foley Field. With the win, the Commodores claim the weekend series and improve to 31-15 on the season, including a 12-12 mark in Southeastern Conference play.
Vanderbilt received an impressive performance from its starter Carter Holton, as the team picked up its ninth shutout on the season. Holton (6-3) tossed 6.0 scoreless innings, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out five to earn his sixth win on the campaign.
