In case you missed these major updates from last night’s Commission meeting:
Bryan County adopted the Rollback Millage Rate of 7.37 mills unanimously. This is the 6th year in a row the millage rate has been rolled back.
The amendments to the Magnolia Hill/ Wexford planned use development to delete a walking trail and add an extra lot were denied unanimously.
The conditional use permit for the proposed 220-unit apartment complex on Harris Trail Road was denied 4-1. The property is still zoned commercial, but the apartment complex required additional approval under the County’s ordinances.
The proposed use of Eldora Road for the Davis and Conley tracks was approved unanimously with the conditions that the developer participate in paying for upgrades of Eldora Road.
A red light at the intersection of U.S. 280 and Oracal Parkway has approved for construction. The construction should be complete in early 2023. This project is the first of many projects for in the area, including a Georgia Department of Transportation improvement to the I-16 and U.S. 280 connector-bridge and ramps.
