Savannah announces virtual meeting on Canal District’s Wetlands Preserve Park

The City of Savannah is inviting the public to attend a virtual community meeting on the Canal District’s Wetlands Preserve Park and Nature Trail. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 5, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Residents can join the virtual meeting via Zoom without pre-registration. The agenda includes a synopsis of previous public engagement meetings, a review of signage types, locations, and content, as well as symbols and color choices related to educational signage. Additionally, there will be an explanation of the planned park design and features.

Funding for the park’s public engagement process was provided by the Coastal Incentive Grant awarded to the City by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
