Registration Open for 2024 Great Savannah Fall Community Cleanup
SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah’s Sanitation Department and Keep Savannah Beautiful encourages residents and organizations to register for the annual Great Savannah Fall Community Cleanup scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28.
Individuals and groups interested in participating are encouraged to register online by Friday, Sept. 20. For those registered, Keep Savannah Beautiful will provide safety vests, gloves, and plastic bags to support litter removal activities.
The Fall Community Cleanup is a city-wide day of service where businesses, residents, and local organizations come together to beautify and improve communities by removing litter and debris from public areas.
Students participating in the cleanup will be eligible to receive community service hours. In addition to the Great Savannah Fall Community Cleanup, residents and organizations are encouraged to explore the Adopt-A-Spot program, where they can adopt a street, park, or neighborhood to maintain throughout the year.
When adopting a spot, the City will furnish and install an Adopt-A-Spot sign stating that the responsible organization assists in removing debris collected at the adoptive site. The City will also provide safety vests, gloves, and plastic bags to aid in litter removal activities. Interested parties can register online.
