City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. However, emergency services will continue to operate.

The holiday closure will affect sanitation services. Residents should expect changes to their regular schedule: Residential garbage and yard waste collection services will not occur on Monday, November 11. Instead, collection services will resume on Tuesday, November 12, following a one-day delayed schedule. Street sweeping operations are also suspended for Monday and will recommence on Tuesday. Recycling services are not scheduled for the week of November 11.

Both Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed on Monday. The Dean Forest Landfill is set to reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, while Bacon Park Transfer Station will resume normal operations at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Storm debris removal efforts across the city continue in response to Hurricane Helene's impact and will proceed as planned on Monday.

Residents are advised to refer to the annual Sanitation schedule packets for details about their specific collection days or visit savannahga.gov/sanitation for more information regarding storm debris removal operations. For additional inquiries, residents can contact (912) 651-6579.
