City of Savannah crews have closed the intersection of Mildred Street, Godsells Street, and Garey Avenue due to a water line break. The closure affects the southern entrance to the Tatemville neighborhood.
Drivers are advised to find alternative routes and avoid the area while repairs are underway. At present, access to Tatemville is only possible via Staley Avenue. The water line break may also impact water service in nearby areas.
City staff are assessing the situation and will update the public as more information becomes available.
