The Forsyth Park fountain in Savannah will undergo temporary water operation shutdowns starting Monday, February 3, for its annual maintenance. This routine procedure is carried out by the City crews from the Park & Tree Department. The maintenance includes cleaning, repairs, and repainting to maintain the fountain's historic appearance and ensure it functions properly.

During this period, at least one walkway around the fountain will remain accessible. However, there will be partial blockages on one of the walkways for a few hours while work is being done. Residents and visitors are advised to plan their visits accordingly.

The city anticipates that full water operations of the fountain will resume by Saturday, February 8.

For further details or inquiries, individuals can contact Savannah’s Park & Tree Department at 912-651-6610 and select option 2.
