The City of Savannah's Recreation and Leisure Services Department is set to unveil a new splashpad at the Tatemville Community Center. The splashpad will officially open on Tuesday, April 1, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for noon.
Designed with features such as full automation, zero-depth water safety, and ADA compliance, the splashpad is intended to be accessible to all. It will be available for public use every day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until October.
This project is part of the broader Recreation Re-Imagine initiative, which involves a citywide investment exceeding $4 million dedicated to enhancing recreational spaces. Specifically, more than $800,000 has been allocated for improvements in District 5, with the Tatemville splashpad project costing $138,500.
The ribbon-cutting event is open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend.
