The City of Savannah's Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) will conduct a Spring Break Extravaganza on Saturday, April 5, at Daffin Park. Designed to offer engaging activities for youth, the event aims to provide enjoyable and meaningful opportunities during the spring break.
The activities will include a job and summer program fair, basketball games, various other games, food, and prizes. Targeting the youth of Savannah, the event is free for all attendees.
ONSE's mission centers on enhancing public safety by reducing gun violence among the youth and young adults in Savannah. The office focuses on identifying individuals who are at risk of either becoming victims or perpetrators, and subsequently connecting them with resources and support.
Through collaborations, ONSE takes a citywide approach to prevent and intervene in instances of violence. The organization promotes community collaboration, supports essential programs, and links residents with vital resources, which is integral to creating a safer environment in Savannah.
