City of Guyton issued the following announcement on July 21.
SMOKE TESTING SEWER LINES
The City of Guyton is conducting a smoke test of its sanitary sewer system.
EOM will begin smoke testing sewer mains on Thursday in the area around 4th St. Extension. This involves forcing harmless smoke into the sewer system to find leaks. Residents should briefly run their sinks and tubs to make ure that all P-Traps are full of water which will prevent any smoke from getting in their house.
