Important items from the September 13, 2022 Commission Meeting:
A cost sharing agreement with the City of Richmond Hill for the Brisbon Road project was approved unanimously by the commissioners. The agreement now goes before the Richmond Hill City Council for approval. The project includes a full depth reclamation of Brisbon Road with a multi-purpose path that connects from Highway 144 via a pedestrian bridge over Sterling Creek to the current paths on Timber Trail Road.
Concessions sales rights for the Timber Trail Branch Park and Henderson Parks have been awarded to First Lady Kitchen LLC in a six-month contract. First Lady Kitchen provides concessions for several parks in Savannah and offers reasonably priced freshly cooked food.
Amendments to the County alcoholic beverages ordinance were approved unanimously to expand the sale of alcohol at special events, on additional holidays, other updates. A referendum will be on the November 8, 2022, ballot to change Sunday sales from 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. to be consistent with the state’s brunch bill.
