The City of Savannah has announced the 9 Days of 912 Challenge, a citywide scavenger hunt leading up to Savannah Day on September 12. This event invites residents and visitors to explore local landmarks while competing for daily prizes and a grand prize.

In collaboration with Visit Savannah, this year's celebration aims to foster community connection and highlight the city's unique character. The new Savannah 912 Day logo reflects the city's dedication to celebrating its cultural heritage and notable cityscapes, referencing Savannah’s area code, 912.

Participants in the scavenger hunt will uncover hidden gems across Savannah, each offering clues and special rewards. This interactive experience is designed to strengthen community bonds, support local businesses, and showcase Savannah’s charm.

The challenge will culminate on Thursday, September 12, with a celebration at the Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and Business Connection at Kehoe Ironworks from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring music and games.

In 2021, Mayor Van R. Johnson II officially proclaimed September 12 as “Savannah Day,” establishing a citywide celebration championing local pride and civic unity.

Media partners and residents are encouraged to share their celebrations using the hashtags #912Day, #Savannah912Day, #SavannahStrong, and #SAV912Day.
