Congressman Rick W. Allen has announced that members of his staff will hold Community Office Hours throughout Georgia's 12th District in May. This initiative is meant to assist residents with various federal issues, including navigating federal agencies like FEMA, Social Security, and Veterans Affairs. Congressman Allen will not attend these events.
In his statement, Congressman Allen said, "I invite anyone seeking help with a federal issue to take advantage of the one-on-one services my office provides. If you need assistance dealing with a federal agency, our dedicated caseworkers stand ready to help you. Please visit my team during Community Office Hours in May or contact one of our district offices for more information."
The Community Office Hours will take place in multiple counties across the district, such as Burke, Candler, Columbia, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Johnson, Lincoln, McDuffie, Montgomery, Screven, Tattnall, Treutlen, Warren, Washington, Wheeler, and Wilkes. The schedule details include dates, times, and locations for each county, where constituents can seek assistance.
Burke County's session is set for May 20th from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM at the County Commission Boardroom, Burke County Courthouse. Candler County will host on May 14th from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM at Metter City Hall. Columbia County’s meeting is on May 7th from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at Grovetown City Hall. Effingham County is scheduled for May 5th from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the Effingham County Board of Commissioners.
