Rick W. Allen, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia's 12th District since 2015, recently shared several updates on his activities and reflections via social media, offering glimpses into his contributions and personal beliefs.

On April 17, 2025, Allen shared his continued efforts in promoting childhood literacy in the Georgia 12th District. "Continuing to promote childhood literacy throughout #GA12!" he wrote, describing a visit to Blakeney Elementary School in Waynesboro, where he read to students. He also donated books from the Library of Congress to the Bulloch County Literacy Council's reading nook at Statesboro City Hall.

The following day, April 18, 2025, Allen reflected on the religious significance of Good Friday. He posted on social media: "On Good Friday, we commemorate the greatest act of love and sacrifice made by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." He cited a scripture from 1 Peter 2:24, expressing a connection to his faith by quoting the Bible.

Later on the same day, Rick W. Allen also participated in a local community event. He noted his attendance at the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Cookout in Glennville. In his post, he expressed gratitude towards law enforcement officers, stating, "Our local law enforcement officers put their lives on the line everyday to keep our communities safe, and for that, we are eternally grateful." Allen continued to highlight a biblical reference from John 15:13 in recognition of their service.

Rick W. Allen, born in Augusta, Georgia, in 1951, completed his education at Auburn University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973.
