City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. However, emergency services will continue to operate.

Sanitation services will experience schedule changes due to the holiday. There will be no collection of residential garbage, recycling, and yard waste on Thursday, November 28. These services will resume on a one-day delayed schedule starting Friday, November 29. Additionally, street sweeping operations will not occur on Thursday but will restart on Friday.

The Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will not accept drop-offs on Thursday, November 28. Both facilities will return to their regular operating hours on Friday, November 29.

Residents are advised to place all storm-related debris at the curb by Sunday, November 24. This is necessary for it to be collected during the final citywide pass by the contractor.

For further details regarding sanitation operations and collection schedules, residents can visit the city's official website.
