Savannah Area Chamber member Front Door Produce and Jenkins Athletic Club are collaborating on a fresh produce fundraiser. The initiative aims to support local farmers and a community organization simultaneously.

The produce boxes, priced at $30 each, are available for order and can be picked up on May 8 at Jenkins Athletic Club. Each box contains a seasonal variety of vegetables such as cucumbers, bell peppers, green beans, zucchini, and yellow squash, though contents may vary depending on availability. Of the $30 charged per box, Jenkins Athletic Club retains $10 to support its activities. Businesses are encouraged to contribute by donating 10 or more boxes, which will help raise funds for the club and provide food to those in need within the community.

Front Door Produce was established during the 2020 pandemic with the aim of enabling local farmers to sell directly to consumers. The company continues to foster community ties by partnering with local non-profits to organize pickup locations and reinvesting in these organizations.

Boxes can be ordered now for the May 8 pickup.
