Buddy Carter discusses terrorism, healthcare, and tax reform in social media posts

Congressman Buddy Carter, representing Georgia's 1st district, recently shared his thoughts on a variety of issues through social media. Serving since replacing Jack Kingston in 2015, Carter continues to voice his opinions on international matters, healthcare reforms, and tax policies.

On April 22, 2025, Carter expressed his condolences regarding a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India. He stated, "Our prayers are with the families of those that lost their lives in a cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India today." Condemning the attack, he emphasized that terrorism has no place anywhere in the world and affirmed U.S. support for Indian Prime Minister Modi and the Indian people.

Later that day, Carter addressed healthcare issues, stressing a focus on patients rather than profits. His tweet simply stated, "It's time to put patients over profits."

The following day, on April 23, 2025, Carter tweeted about tax reform, highlighting his support for the Fair Tax. He noted, "With the Fair Tax, Tax Day would be a thing of the past!" This reflects his ongoing advocacy for tax policy changes.

Buddy Carter, born in 1957 in Port Wentworth, Georgia, has been active in public service for several years. Prior to the U.S. Congress, he served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2005 to 2009 and in the Georgia Senate from 2009 to 2014.
