Visiting Artist Exhibition: Andrea Caretto

Artist Talk & Reception: October 21, 5-7 p.m.
The artist talk will begin at 5:15 p.m. in the gallery.
Using encaustic, a form of paint mixed with wax that is applied to a canvas in a molten state, Andrea Caretto makes sumptuous paintings that balance complex patterns with lush expression. Balancing the rigid and geometric with the tactile and sensuous, Caretto's artworks pop off the wall with bold color combinations and seemingly fluid, drippy surfaces that tingle the emotions as much as the eye.
